PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
Behaviour
• 5 Star Basketball Academy / Brentwood Leopards players and coaches must respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person, player and non-player alike, treating everyone equally within the context of the game
• Treat everyone how you would like to be treated – never deliberately upset a team-mate or someone in your training group, even if they have made a mistake
• Always listen carefully to what your coach is asking you to do, particularly when they are talking about safety at basketball
• All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions
• If anything happens that a player is concerned about, whether it relates to them or to someone else in the club, they must make sure they tell one of the coaching staff, the Clubs Welfare officer(s) or another adult
Dress code
Players are required to attend all games and official trainings in the following attire:
• For all training sessions players are required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear
• For all official games players are required to wear playing uniform and warm up top
• Players not adhering to the dress code will not be allowed to participate in training sessions or games
Attendance & Punctuality
• Players are required to participate in all training sessions and games arranged by the Club
• Players who are aware that they will be missing a training session or game are required to notify their Head Coach as soon as they become aware of circumstances making them unable to attend the session.
• Issues with telephones or e-mail will never be accepted as a reason to fail communicate the absence.
• Players are NOT permitted to use mobile phones during training or fixtures, this includes charging phones on side-lines.
